Cooking socials are a fun & informative 3 hours in the kitchen with your new foodie friends (classmates)
Explore the bold, earthy flavors of the Yucatán in this relaxed, hands-on cooking social. You’ll learn to make Cochinita Pibil—a traditional Mayan pork dish slow-cooked in banana leaves—paired with fresh corn tortillas, zesty pickled onions, and a rustic salsa made the old-school way.
On the Menu:
Cochinita Pibil – Pork marinated in achiote and citrus, slow-cooked in banana leaves until meltingly tender.
Handmade Corn Tortillas – Press and cook authentic corn tortillas from scratch.
Pickled Red Onions – Bright, punchy, and the perfect accompaniment.
Molcajete Salsa – A fire-roasted salsa made by hand in the traditional volcanic stone mortar.
What to Expect:
Welcome cocktail & mingling – Start the afternoon with a refreshing drink while we chat through the menu.
Hands-on cooking – Work alongside us to marinate, press, grind, and cook these vibrant Mexican dishes.
A shared feast – Sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor with your fellow cooks.
